Where to Invade directed by Michael Moore, is a film of facts, just flipped to make you view them as a bad thing. Its all up to the viewer how he/ she interprets it at the end of the day. I believe that these are very insightful facts that I would have never known unless I did the research but, the whole idea of Moore’s mannerism here was to change Americas culture to be more like theirs. There is no problem with asking for help when it comes down to it but, taking cultural backgrounds and making it your own is what we thrive in. There are some things I disagree with when it comes to how Moore went about these things but overall the concept was to help and I’m okay with that. There are a few topics that I would like to discuss. First, the controversy over the drug war and how painful the sentencing can be. I do not think the people who sell drugs should be arrested or even in the same facility that murderers and rapist are in. The punishment for drugs are just as harsh as the people who committed a murder or worse. Put the trust in people and the people will begin to trust themselves. Second, school lunches and how important it is to have a the basic food etiquette at a young age. So then it becomes second nature to them as they grow. It teaches respect and how to eat and be healthier. Lastly, sex education and how ignoring the issue will solve absolutely nothing. Men and women, whether it be with the same gender or not, it happens. And political figures who run this country ignoring the problems of STD breakouts, sex isn't something that should be frowned upon, it can be a beautiful thing but it is your culture that sways the society’s opinion about it. So my argument is, are we the enemy of each other or do we let our culture determine that for us already?

I agree with you when you say that the punishment for drug use is too harsh. It doesn't make sense that someone who uses drugs and someone who commits a murder should spend the same amount of time in prison. I also agree with lunches in school have to become healthier for children.

I agree with your topic about the school lunches, I also had that as one of my topics. What these kids get served everyday for lunch is endangering their health and future. If kids got served meals that would benefit them into growing into a healthy body, maybe our obesity rates in America wouldn't be as high.
